What is CPD?
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the means through which practitioners take responsibility for their own continued learning and development for the improvement of their practice and the benefit of their clients or patients.
Committing to your CPD ensures you are offering the best possible service and helping to raise the standing of the Healing profession.

On this one-day course you will learn how to explore stories to assist with your own self-development.
You will look at different types of story.
You will be involved in some fun practical exercises in storytelling and get to listen to stories being told by the tutors.
You will learn why stories are still relevant and important to all of us.
About the tutors:
Lizzy Gunning has many talents and wears many “hats”. With pride, she now showcases her love of storytelling, wishing to share the magic of the journey these stories have given her throughout her lifetime.
Lizzy was a primary school teacher for 30 years until a break and dislocation in her foot caused her to change careers.
So, drawing on her talents for creating sculptures, stories, and pictures, helping to build an art gallery, and learning to become a healer and counsellor, and literally stepping into her roles as Mother and Grandmother, she began to remodel her life to give warmth and love to others in many ways beyond the classroom.
Meg McDonald grew up surrounded by a rich tapestry of stories – both read and told –and has always felt they were important companions. Before training to be an osteopath and healer, she had a background in theatre – a world with stories and their telling at its heart. In the field of healing, she found that our inner worlds are also filled with story, symbol and metaphor. In more recent times, she has explored myth and story in depth at Professor Martin Shaw’s School of Myth. On this one-day course, she hopes to share some of her passion for this fascinating subject.
Meg and Lizzy look forward to seeing you at Bridge Hall.
Tea and coffee will be provided. Bring a packed lunch, or there are various shops within easy reach.
